Group Project Expectations and the Proposal Process
- Service Partners must submit a Group Project Proposal for consideration by the staff and Advisory Board of the AmeriCorps Cape Cod program
- Once selected, Service Partners must provide the House Supervisor or other designated project leader with a detailed orientation to the project. Included should be the purpose of project, the history of site, a walking tour of site, maps, any specific site rules, safety hazards, and tool/equipment needs.
- Service Partners will be asked to provide a brief orientation on the first day of the scheduled service with the Corps. This orientation should include an introduction to the Service Partner and the partnering organization and the history and purpose of the project. Introductions to any safety hazards and specialized tools should also be included.
- On any given service day, the Service Partner does not need to be present for the whole day. However, clear objectives and expectations need to be laid out for when the Service Partner is not present.
- Service Partners should be prepared to discuss the Corps efficiency and effectiveness during the service project.
